Models and Body Types
There were two different models in 1956: the (Custom) Imperial and the Crown Imperial. Following you’ll find a listing of the models and there different body types.

(Custom) Imperial
The Imperial could be ordered in 3 different body styles: 4-door Sedan, 2-door Hardtop and (new for 1956) 4-door Hardtop.
The Hardtops were called Southampton.
All of them were 6-seaters.

Crown Imperial
The longer Crown Imperial was available in 2 versions: 4-door Sedan and 4-door Limousine.
Both were 8-seaters.

Special productions
There were also some 1-of-a-kind-cars. I found a convertible and a station wagon.
The famous Parade Phaetons were 1952 models upgraded with ‘56 parts.
