1956 Imperial

This site wasn’t available the past 2 days – the hoster seemed to have some problems with the database-server.

Nun the site runs again and I hope it will do so for a while.

There are 70 of the 10,628 built 1956 Imperials online now.
We found 10 – 15 further cars, who will be uploaded the next days.
After that there should be about 80 cars online ’til the next weekend.

There is also a new FAQ site, where frequently asked questions were answered.

Here some news:

• actually there are 65 cars online
• found further 1956 Imperials – also a Crown Imperial Limousine!
• added pictures to C56-5146
• added pictures to C56-8680

It would be nice, if the visitors will leave some comments. It’s easy, free, you don’t have to register. Only type the required things and send your comment. Thanks.

It’s running very good. Since the relaunch of this website, it’s growing almost daily.
I like to thank everyone who supports me with information, pictures and links – especially Jon Yinger, who is searching and calling in America and sending me emails every day.

Actually there are about 15 further Imperial waiting for their upload. So there will be about 75 cars soon.

Actually I’m thinking about a world map, where I can mark the locations of the Imperials presented on this site.
But I don’t know how to make it right now?

Any idea? Anyone?

Today I added the 50th Imperial to this website.
Informations and pictures to 10 further 56 Imperials are ready for uploading.
Also I send emails to several owners – awaiting the answers.

50 cars don’t seem much if you know that 10.628 Imperials were built. But nobody knows how many of them still exist or where they are today. And not every owner is online and so it is hard to find them. Therefor 50 cars aren’t that bad.

Previously, under 1956imperial.de there have been only static html pages. These have not been updated for a long time.

Now, the pages use a blog system. Currently, all the old pages will be converted and soon there will also be new pages added.
